My Choices Of DVD For 2003

here are my choices of DVD title for last year. it's not only for movie but also include the mini series and series. it may not be u'r choice, but to me they have their own quality in terms of story, script and effects. so, check it out...

1. Steven Spielberg present 'Taken'
* a great mini series by Spielberg. a story about 3 generation of family circulated with the alien breed child, alien abduction and the hatred that never end. just wondering how the scriptwriter got the idea of the story? are they alien? a must see dvd!

2. Lord Of The Rings : The Two Towers
* even blind person also know this saga trilogy. the 2nd part is really entertaining especially the Helm's Deep battle. can't wait for all the movie in box set.

3. Star Wars Episode 2 : Attack Of The Clones
* for this episode, Lucas brings to us the part where Ani and Amidala get involve and later they married even the Jedi rules is not to involve with anybody. as this is the starting part of the existence for Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. i still can't get how the Dark Lord plan would vanish all the Jedi and become so powerful. hopefully after the episode 3, lucasfilm will think to produce the 8th!

4. 24 season 2
* as we've already witness from previous season, this gripping series continues a year and half from last season event. David Palmer has become President and Jack Bauer is still in CTU but he still feel sad about what happened to his wife, Teri. Basically this season is about a terrorist from Middle East threat in Los Angeles. Even its looks like a bias subject to Muslim but the script and story is really interesting. It's also have some subject from previous season threat. so, go get it folks and watch it before the AXN air it!

5. The Italian Job
*this 1969 remake film with strong cast is damn good story with the brave and courage of a thief gang whom betrayed by one of their own teammate during the last heist in venice. with Mark Wahlberg, Ed Norton, Chalize Theron in the cast lineup, i'd really like this movie especially with their "mini cars"...

6. Bad Boys II
*i'd call this film as a handsome and pretty movie. the camera work is really amazing and the editing is kinda superb! great story and lot of action from ground chase, cars flyin' all over the freeway, water and train action and even ambush the cuban mob mansion. also a must see..

7. The Matrix Reloaded
*This sequel movie from the Wachowski Brothers brings us a more character compared to the previous one. The action and complexity of the Matrix world is more reveal. I really like the freeway chase which invlove the Twin, the Agent and the Morpheus group. A must see movie!

8. Alias - Season 1
*Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, a double agent for CIA and an underground movement SD 6 which is part of The Alliance in this first season of the series. If you never get to watch it before, you should hook it from the first series cos its relate from one to another. really good storyline which make me nail in front of the screen till the 2nd season now (which more interesting). The 2nd season DVD is just out in US.

9. Confidence
*Edward Burns, Rachel Weisz, Dustin Hoffman and co star Andy Garcia cast in this film. 'Bout a man who accidently have debt with a mafia bos. but his plan to get out from the debt and trap back the mob is really kewl..

10. Vidocq
*Loosely based upon the true story of Eugene-Francois Vidocq, a former criminal who became a police chief, and then, founder of the first French detective agency but the story here is just fiction. he investigate tripple murder in an area part of Paris called Tample. It then leads him to searching for a terrifying mythological figure who might be wreaking havok on the city's moral and political core. This French movie is lead by Gerard Depardieu (still remember him from "The 3 Musketeers?) and based on 1830's. Even the story release in France in 2000, but the DVD was just out on last year. A worth watch movie!
